About

My approach comes from an underlying trust that when we slow down and listen to the body, heart, and mind, we will find what we need to take that next step toward greater freedom in our relationships and our lives. My intention is to create a space where you can befriend yourself and your life, and in so doing, open up new avenues of healing, creativity and energy. My style is warm, direct, and collaborative. A Licensed Clinical Social Worker since 2000, I have over 25 years of experience working in clinical and community settings with individuals and groups. I completed a three-year training with the Somatic Experiencing Institute and am a certified Somatic Experiencing Practitioner. Somatic Experiencing is a body-based, organic approach to trauma healing. I am a Certified Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction Instructor with the Centre for Mindfulness Studies. I co-created and facilitated an embodied racial justice curriculum with the UW Health Mindfulness Program and the YWCA Race and Gender Equity Team. I currently facilitate classes and retreats through the UW Health Mindfulness Program. I'm a parent and partner, and love to hike, write, and create. I'm offering in-person sessions in Madison, Wisconsin. I am not currently on any insurance panels. My practice is full with a waitlist.
